Dr. Mike Sabback

Some years ago during a mission trip to Sri Lanka, one Sunday a group of us was sent from the main church in Columbo to an outlying church in a remote area.

Our mission was to preach and proclaim the Gospel to the congregation.  During the morning service, I preached on the Healing Ministry of Jesus, then invited the congregation to come forward to receive healing and salvation in Jesus Name.

After the service we stayed in the sanctuary and divided into three groups.  I was invited to lead the men's group, my wife, Jeanne, the women's group and our fellow team member, John, was invited to lead the youth group.

During the men's group discussion which I was leading on prayer, I noticed that one of the men became visibly agitated whenever I mentioned the Name of Jesus.  He then began to shout and jerk and his face became reptilian.

He began to manifest a full blown demonic presence.  In the power of the Spirit, I commanded the demon to come out of him and, in the Spirit, I saw a snake's head emerge from his mouth. Led by the Spirit, I used my Bible as a sword and cut off the snake's head.

The man fell back and appeared pale and lifeless, but when he aroused, he had been delivered and was at peace.  I asked that his men's group surround him with the love and protection of Jesus and encourage him in the Word of God, worship and prayer.

The other two groups in the room witnessed what was happening and both Jeanne and John immediately led their groups to pray for us as this deliverance was happening.

Thanks be to God for His mighty power in orchestrating this deliverance and using us to accomplish it!
