Generational Healing

I thought I'd pass along a healing that occurred some years ago whilst participating in the OSL course here in the Vancouver BC area.
We held a healing meeting once per month in various churches. During one of these meetings, a few of us were called to pray for an older woman who for ten years had been suffering from deep depression and from celiac disease.
After praying for her for some minutes, nothing happened, and I'd received no words of guidance whatsoever. The others stopped praying and left. I kept on, determined to work with God to bring her at least a measure of healing, if not full healing.
A few years earlier, I had read Dr McAll's book, Healing the Family Tree. The book describes Doctor McAll's success in healing tough cases that other forms of prayer had not achieved. From his experience as a medical doctor, missionary to China, and his eventual training as a psychiatrist, he began to see generational patterns of distress and bondage.
In asking the Lord for a way to pray for generational healing, he received a vision of Christ and an effective way of applying the sacrament of Holy Communion to bring healing and, if necessary, deliverance. In one instance, he was called upon to consult with a family whose preschool daughter was a wild child who screamed, had tantrums and nightmares and more.
When talking with the child, he discovered that she had a recurring nightmare about playing with six other children in a sandbox, who one by one disappeared into the sand. He noticed the mom's white face and asked her what it meant. She had had six miscarriages!
He then told them it was very important to acknowledge, accept, love and name the children, welcoming them into the family forever (whilst talking to Jesus, not the children). They did this, and then Dr McAll, as an ordained minister, led them all in Holy Communion, and they committed each of these children in love to God. The wild child had an immediate and astounding personality shift, becoming calm, adorable, and free of nightmares.
Back to the woman I was praying for: I knew God could heal her, so I just kept asking questions whilst I waited for guidance.
Two words, "unhappy children," finally flitted through my mind. Was that God?
I asked her if she had had a happy childhood. Oh yes, she replied. Do you have any children? Yes, one, a daughter, 26. Did she have a happy childhood? Yes.
Okay, I guess that's not God, I surmised, and went back to asking her more questions whilst I waited for guidance. A few minutes later, the woman interrupted what she was saying to say that her daughter had had an abortion at 16. There it was! Two unhappy children - the daughter and the grandchild.
Dr McAll's book from years earlier instantly came to mind, as well as the way to bring this dear woman healing. Her depression and celiac disease had started at the same time as the abortion, 10 years earlier. Dr McAll had written that others can suffer in the same part of the body as in the original offense. And so it was here: mental torment, and a wound to the abdomen.
I told the woman that I believed that God would not only heal her, but the family as well, through naming and accepting her grandchild and then partaking of Holy Communion for both of them, all without needing to tell anyone but God.
Do you know if your grandchild is a boy or a girl?
A boy.
If you were to name him, what name would you give him?
[ I'll make up a name] Jimmy, like my father.
How often do you take Communion? Once per week.
Would you take little Jimmy with you (so to speak) each week and take Communion for both of you until you feel the healing is complete? Yes.
I never saw the woman again. But the next month, at a different church, a couple came up to me and asked if I remembered the woman with celiac disease. She wants us to tell you that her depression is healed. Praise God!!! Hallelujah! I was so happy to hear this!
The next month after that, a woman came up to me, again at a different church, and asked if I remembered the same woman. She wants me to tell you that her celiac disease is gone!!
This healing was just like so many that Dr McAll had written about. When the source of the pain is healed, the family member or members expressing the pain are healed too!
Praise God! I was jumping for joy on the inside!!!
